XXL CONSTRUCTIONS designed and constructed the equestrian dressage arena super structure at Jimboomba Park.

XXL CONSTRUCTIONS was commissioned to design and construct the dressage arena super structure for the Logan City Council’s Jimboomba Park redevelopment program.

The single point-of-contact, concept to completion, build management solution provided by XXL CONSTRUCTIONS involved design consultations, the production of design concept drawings, steel detailing drawings, structural drawings, engineering compliance and approval, construction drawings, materials and trade procurement and the build management of the site preparation, the foundation works, the steel frame, roofing, and cladding install, the storm water downpipe install, the landscaping, and the occupancy certification.

XXL CONSTRUCTIONS professionally and innovatively incorporated the design mandated round concrete piers, that are also raised 100mm above ground level. The structure also incorporates back-to-back C400 galvanised columns and rafters including knee braces and rod bracing which is covered from external view by Colorbond corrugated side skirts.

The arena is a superb structure that is both architecturally pleasing and efficiently designed.  The arena is a valued part of the park precinct and is currently home to the Jimboomba Pony Club.
