XXL CONSTRUCTIONS designed, engineered, and rebuilt this 2460sqm commercial warehouse to seamlessly abut the remaining office building that was not destroyed by fire.

XXL CONSTRUCTIONS successfully redesigned, engineered, and constructed, in fully fabricated hot rolled steel, this 2460 sqm 39.22m clear span commercial warehouse after fire destroyed the original warehouse but spared the adjoining office building.

The warehouse previously located on the lot, was not designed to meet current building codes so an entirely new design was required.  Our client wanted a bespoke design to fit the original foundation pad, make use of the original hold down bolt locations, and to seamlessly and effortlessly connect through to the remaining office building and be capable of housing a 5T gantry crane run to run the length of the building.

The single point-of-contact, concept to completion, build management solution provided by XXL involved production of a concept drawing, design drafting drawings, steel detailing drawings, engineering compliance and approval, council regulation compliance, construction drawings, materials and trade procurement as well as the build management of the site preparation, the structural steel frame, roofing and cladding install, the stormwater management install, the safety signage & equipment install and the occupancy certification.
